KEVIN SECONDS

Best known for his work in 7Seconds, the legendary American hardcore punk rock band he has led for over three decades, Kevin Seconds has spent the 20 years morphing into a brilliant lo-fi home-recordist singer-songwriter.

It's been a long, hard road but after these last couple of years, people are finally starting to notice.

Due mainly to the lack of promotion by the record labels they came out on, his previous full-length solo efforts, 1997's 'Stoudamire', 2000's 'Heaven's Near Wherever You and Are' and 2008's 'Rise Up Insomniacs!' were largely ignored outside the underground and independent music community. As a result, many folks missed some of the finest albums of the past few years.

2010's 'Good Luck Buttons' (on Asian Man Records) fared quite bit better.

In contrast to the singalong Beach Boys-meets-Elliott Smith vibe of both 'Stoudamire' and 'Heaven's Near Wherever You Are', 'Good Luck Buttons mines more rootsy, almost countrified folk
(but still catchy as hell) territory, typified by songs like "Be Your Witness", "No Good Eggs" and "Happy Beginning".

The songs are startlingly catchy and impeccably well-crafted.

Since 2008, Kevin has toured all over North America and Europe, playing with the likes of other great singer-songwriters with roots in the punk rock music world, including Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music), Tim Barry (Avail), Ben Nichols (Lucero), Frank Turner, Kepi Ghoulie (Groovie Ghoulies), Jesse Michaels (Operation Ivy), Joey Cape (Lagwagon) and Jon Snodgrass (Drag The River). He's also played on bills with legendary punk bands such as Bad Brains, Bouncing Souls, Youth Brigade and Naked Raygun.

He's nearly finished with his upcoming full-length album, 'Don't Let Me Lose Ya', which will be released in early October 2012, on Asian Man Records.

After it's release, Kevin will hit the road for another lengthy North American run (including an appearance at this year's Fest 11 in Gainesville, Florida), followed by a return trip to Europe and his very first South American tour, by year's end.

Kevin Seconds is a pop troubadour with a protest singer's heart.

Let him into yours and you'll be happier for it.
